Alyssa O’Rourke, Ph.D.

A specialist in how children learn to read, spell, and write, and in what happens when that process doesn’t come easily.

Dr. O’Rourke’s work centers on dyslexia and other written-language difficulties, and on turning assessment findings into clear, practical plans for families and schools.

Training

She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Child Development, with a concentration in Clinical Developmental Psychology, from the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University, where she studied with Dr. Maryanne Wolf.
